On Tuesday, I received some big news, so I had to put the business on the back burner for a little while and spend some extra time with my family. That’s perfectly fine. I was still able to get some things done, but obviously, my priorities shifted a little bit.

I’ve continued experimenting with Claude Cowork, and I’m becoming more impressed with what it can do. Lately, whenever I think of a task that needs to get done, especially something that isn’t particularly important or something I wouldn’t mind having to redo if it gets messed up, I’ve been giving it to Cowork just to test its capabilities. So far, it’s been pretty good.

What’s interesting is that I feel like I’m becoming more productive than I’ve been throughout most of this year. It’s not necessarily that I’m accomplishing some crazy amount of work every day, but I’m finding that I can get a little more done with fewer hours. Even on days when I don’t have much time available, I can usually make progress on at least one thing. That’s what I’m trying to accomplish right now. I want to be able to move the business forward every single day, even if the amount of progress is relatively small.

Taking a Day Off to Catch Up

Yesterday, I decided to take the day off from my corporate job because I felt like I was falling behind on several things. I needed a day to catch up on some personal responsibilities and take care of things I hadn’t been able to get around to.

I started by getting a haircut, then went to vote and eventually made it to the park. I hadn’t worked out at all this week, so I wanted to make sure I got some running in.

The workout didn’t go quite as planned. I’ve gotten pretty comfortable running five miles at around a 9:09 pace, but yesterday I was struggling more than usual. I’m not sure whether it was the lack of sleep, general fatigue or just having an off day, but by the time I reached four miles, I was done. I ended up stopping the run and walking the remaining mile back to my car.

Not exactly the workout I was hoping for, but at least I got four miles in.

My First Product Order and Setting Up Amazon

On the business side, I received my first full product order for my new online retail store. This is something I’ve been working toward for a while now, so I’m happy to finally have inventory arriving from the manufacturers instead of just samples and prototypes.

My plan is to sell this product on Amazon, so I started working on setting up my seller account. Unfortunately, that turned into a much bigger headache than I expected.

Apparently, I had created an Amazon seller account a long time ago but never actually finished setting it up or used it. The problem was that my phone number was still associated with that old account, and I wanted to start fresh with a new account for my business.

I ended up spending approximately four hours trying to figure out how to delete the old seller account and separate my phone number from my personal Amazon shopping account. After going through the process, I was finally able to delete the old account.

I’m still not entirely sure whether the phone number has been completely disassociated from everything. When I try to log into the new account using the verification code sent to my phone, it redirects me to an error page. I have no idea why that’s happening, but at least I managed to create the new account and submit all the required verification documents.

Now Amazon is telling me that I need to wait approximately two days for the verification process to be completed.

Preparing My First Amazon Listing

While I’m waiting for the account to be verified, I’m going to start working on the product images. I want to make sure the listing looks professional and that the pictures do a good job of showing the product and its features.

That way, once the account is approved, I can move straight into creating my first listing instead of wasting more time getting everything ready.

I’m looking forward to finally getting this product listed. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time communicating with manufacturers, reviewing designs, ordering samples and figuring out the logistics of importing products. Now I’m getting closer to actually putting one of those products on the market and seeing whether this business model can work the way I’ve been envisioning it.

Make the opening more specificConnect AI progress to business resultsTighten the Amazon account section

The last few days have been pretty interesting and productive.
