As it currently stands, I have two quotes, and I should have a third one either later today or within the next couple of days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third quote is actually coming from a company connected to one of my old tenants. They&#8217;re going out to look at the roof and give me a price on what it would cost to finish what I already started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the quotes I&#8217;ve received so far, I&#8217;m expecting to come out of pocket at least $10,000 to get this roof finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s gonna hurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I also need to lower the expenses on that house.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The roof isn&#8217;t the only problem with this property. The bills have gotten ridiculous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Internet is almost\u00a0<strong>$100 a month<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electricity is around\u00a0<strong>$321 a month<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The water bill has also gone up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insurance is another expense I&#8217;m trying to lower<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The electric bill used to be around $160 a month, so I don&#8217;t know how we ended up at $321.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There isn&#8217;t much I can control right now, but the internet and insurance are two expenses I can actually do something about. If I can get the internet down to around $60 a month and then lower the insurance premium once the roof is finished, that should at least help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Once again, I&#8217;m doing too much.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know I&#8217;ve said this a lot this year, and somehow here I am saying it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I keep trying to work on everything at the same time. Part of the problem is that when I&#8217;m not doing everything I want to do, I feel like I&#8217;m failing. That&#8217;s obviously not working because I&#8217;m one person and there&#8217;s only so much I can do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I&#8217;m trying to change how I look at it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to figure out what absolutely has to get done every day and make sure I do those things. Once that&#8217;s done, whatever time I have left can go toward one specific project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not five projects. One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Right now, the rental properties are taking up most of my time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I haven&#8217;t really been listing much on eBay, and I haven&#8217;t been going out sourcing either. Most of the inventory I&#8217;m buying is stuff I can source directly from home through eBay and other websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eventually, I want to be more active with sourcing. I&#8217;d like to go to garage sales and try some other ways of finding inventory, but that takes even more time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For now, what I&#8217;m already doing is making money, so I&#8217;m going to keep doing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With whatever time I have left, I&#8217;ve been working on some Etsy ideas that I want to get listed. I want to finish those first and see what happens with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, I can go back and put more time into scaling eBay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s so much I want to do, and I&#8217;m really just one person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Man, this shit really sucks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have a lot going on right now, so I figured I&#8217;d put everything together in one update.
