Just to catch up on some of what’s been going on so far this month, business has been pretty slow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For whatever reason, my Etsy sales have dropped a lot since I got back from vacation. Before I left, I was getting Etsy sales almost every day. Some days I would get four or five sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now I’m getting maybe one sale every two or three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That’s crazy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don’t know exactly what happened. Maybe putting the store on vacation messed with my ranking in the algorithm, or maybe something else changed. I really don’t know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve been working on my second Etsy store.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n My main Etsy store is very niche, so I want to build another store that’s more generic. Basically, I can use that store for whatever ideas I come up with instead of having to make everything fit within the niche of my main store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I want to see if I can build Etsy into a bigger source of income. Right now, I’m trying to get the second store going and see what I can do with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n eBay revenue is down this month too.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n eBay isn’t doing too bad, but revenue is definitely down compared to what I was doing before. I’ve also just been moving a lot slower with the business this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I haven’t done nearly as much content as I said I wanted to do. Honestly, I think I’m just doing too many things at once. I’ve been saying that a lot lately, but it’s becoming more obvious to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I’ve started cutting some expenses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I canceled some subscriptions because there’s no reason for me to keep paying for services that I’m barely using. I’m thinking about canceling a few more as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One idea I’ve been considering is taking some of that money and putting it toward a storage unit instead. I’ve seen some storage options for around $200 to $300 a month, which isn’t too bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I’m not sure if I’ll do that later this year or wait until next year. I might want to build the business up some more before adding another monthly expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Having storage would give me a lot more room for inventory. I could also start selling a lot more on Facebook Marketplace, which is something else I’ve been thinking about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For now, I’m still figuring out when it makes sense to add the storage unit and how much I want to build up the business before I do it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Just to catch up on some of what’s been going on so far this month, business has been pretty slow.
