I think this weekend was a success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was my weekend to work my corporate job, so I wasn’t expecting to get a whole lot done. Even with that, I still managed to make some good progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I built more Etsy inventory, although I’m still waiting on a couple of supplies from Amazon before I can finish everything. One package arrives today and the other tomorrow. Once they get here, I’ll be able to finish the products, package them, and get them listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not everything worked out, though.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the new Etsy products I wanted to create turned out to be a complete bust. The idea just didn’t work the way I had hoped. That’s part of the process. I’ll go back, make a few changes, and see if I can improve it. Sometimes an idea only needs a small adjustment before it becomes something worth selling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I also spent some time on eBay.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I listed a few more products, but it’s been a slower month than usual. That’s mostly my own fault because I haven’t been listing as consistently as I should. I’ve also slowed down on listing some of the products that normally get the most demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I’m already starting to notice the effects. My listings aren’t showing up as high in the search results anymore, which tells me the algorithm has cooled off. I also expect to lose a little more momentum while I’m on vacation next week, but that’s okay. eBay rewards consistency, and consistency is something I can always get back to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Content is becoming the next priority.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I recorded a couple of new YouTube videos this weekend. Now I just have to edit them and get them posted. I haven’t decided whether I’ll publish two or three this week, but I also want to build up a small backlog before I leave for vacation. If I can get at least two videos ready ahead of time, I’ll be able to keep posting while I’m away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I also built a new workflow that I’m experimenting with to make creating content easier. It’s still a work in progress, but I think it has a lot of potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Content has always been a major part of the business model I want to build, but it’s taken a back seat while I was trying to figure out eBay. Now I feel like I have a much better understanding of where I want to take the resale side of the business. I finally have a path. The next step is creating that same kind of system for content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The goal is building a repeatable system.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I’ll consider it a success if I can consistently produce two or three pieces of content every week while still listing a healthy amount of inventory on eBay. If I can make that sustainable, then I can start shifting more of my attention toward sourcing inventory and experimenting with some of the other eBay ideas I’ve been sitting on. I already have a few in mind. Now it’s just a matter of making the time to implement them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n P.S<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I almost forgot. I also finished my real estate books.
