My wife and I both came away feeling really good about it, so we went ahead and enrolled him to start next month. It’s a strange feeling. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we brought him home from the hospital, and now we’re getting ready to send him to daycare. Time really does move differently once you have kids.

On the business side, I finally picked up some more inventory, which was something I needed to do. I’ve been watching my inventory levels slowly come down over the past few weeks, so it felt good to start replenishing some of it. I also found a few items on eBay that looked like they were priced too low. Nothing huge, but enough that I think there’s some room to make a profit. They’re on the way now, so once they arrive I’ll get them listed and see if my instincts were right.

I also managed to record two videos for my YouTube channel. I wanted to get them published yesterday, but by the time I got home and sat down to work on them, I was just tired. Rather than forcing it, I decided to wait until today.

Recording the videos was the hard part anyway.

One of my goals has been to publish at least two videos every week, so those are already finished. If everything goes according to plan, I’d like to squeeze out a third video before the week is over. I don’t know what it’ll be about yet, but I’ll figure something out.

Because I spent so much time recording, I never got around to listing anything on eBay. Normally that would’ve bothered me, but I think I spent my time well. Videos are usually the most time-consuming thing on my list, so getting two of them finished feels like a worthwhile trade.

I also spent some time digging into one of the new software tools I’ve been using. I’m still learning what it can do, and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. Every time I open it, I discover another feature that gives me a new idea. I still have a lot more experimenting to do, but that’s part of the fun.

That experimenting also gave me an idea for my real estate Instagram account. Right now there’s barely any content on it outside of a few posts from last year and the beginning of this year. I was hoping one of my software tools could automate part of the process, but after playing around with it, I don’t think it’s going to work the way I imagined. That’s okay. I think I can still build a workflow myself that lets me create videos quickly enough to make posting consistently realistic.

The last thing I worked on might end up being one of the more valuable projects I’ve done recently.

I finally finished going through all of my old writing. I edited it, cleaned it up, and organized it so I can use it as training material whenever I use AI to help me write. The goal isn’t to have AI write for me. The goal is to have it understand how I write so that anything it helps produce actually sounds like me. I also picked up a few new prompting techniques that get much closer to my natural writing style, which was something I’d been trying to figure out for a while.

Yesterday ended up being a really productive day.
