Just a quick update on what’s been going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of the end of June, my estimated net worth was roughly $421,000<\/strong>, so I’m officially well above the $400k mark now. It feels good to finally have a little bit of breathing room above that milestone. Crossing $400k was exciting, but what I really wanted was enough of a cushion that I wouldn’t immediately fall back below it after one unexpected expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Well… life wasted no time testing that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last weekend my wife’s car developed a fuel leak, which ended up being a bad fuel pump. The repair bill came out to just under $1,200. It’s never fun spending money on something like that, but that’s part of life. It’s a small dent in the net worth, and thankfully the business is still doing well enough that it isn’t a major setback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One thing I have noticed lately is that I’m starting to run low on inventory. I’ve been so focused on building systems and automation that I haven’t spent enough time replacing what I’ve been selling. That’s probably going to catch up with me over the next few weeks. Etsy has continued to surprise me and has been performing really well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if eBay starts slowing down simply because I don’t have enough inventory coming in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I’ve also been thinking about my real estate Instagram account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The original plan was to automate it and start posting every day, but I think I’m changing my mind. After spending some time experimenting with HeyGen, I don’t think daily uploads make much sense, especially with how many credits the platform uses. Once a week seems much more realistic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The good news is that I finally understand the workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Right now it still takes me about two hours to make one video because I’m writing the script, putting everything together, and figuring things out as I go. But I can already tell that most of that time is just learning the process. Once I have the workflow down, I honestly think I could make a video in about twenty minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So that project isn’t dead. It’s just moving a little slower than I originally expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I’ll probably have a better idea of what I want to do with it by the end of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One last thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yesterday was my birthday, which means I’m officially 33 now.
