I set up a WordPress and WooCommerce online store thinking it would be simple and streamlined. It was not a fun experience. It took too long to set everything up. Too many plugins. Too many steps. Too many little settings that all depend on each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For what I needed, it felt like overkill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were a few things that really bothered me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Email confirmations do not get sent to the customer immediately after they order. That alone makes the process feel unpolished. Inventory does not disappear as soon as I am out of stock, which creates unnecessary risk. When someone adds something to their cart, it shows up in my orders tab. Why? I understand that maybe it is there in case someone wants to pay in person, but I deleted that option. Now it is just extra work for me because I have to go in and manually delete those.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inputting customer addresses manually feels like a step backward. It should be smooth and automatic. Setting up the app was annoying, and the app itself is not ideal for what I am used to. I have seen easier systems. Much easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For a full scale ecommerce operation with deep customization, maybe it makes sense. But for a clean, efficient landing page built to move product quickly, this felt clunky and time consuming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
