This morning I skipped the gym. My body was sore, and while my diet hasn\u2019t been the best, I\u2019ve at least been consistent with staying active, which is progress in itself. Work was relatively slow, though my manager spent some time briefing me before she left. On a positive note, our Orlando market seems to be one of the strongest in Florida right now, which is reassuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the big wins today was finally getting in touch with eBay to resolve a return issue. I learned the hard way that I shouldn\u2019t issue a refund before receiving the item back, since doing so automatically closes the return. Unfortunately, this mistake cost me the sale, the $70, and the product. A tough lesson, but one I won\u2019t repeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After work I went to my parents\u2019 house. I told my mom that the tenants from rental #2 are leaving in December, and I\u2019m now considering whether it makes sense to move into that property. There are financial benefits, but I don\u2019t like the idea of moving into a house that was meant to stay a rental. At the same time, it would be cheaper and closer to family. I plan on speaking to my loan officer soon to see what my options are. Later, my stepdad mentioned an opportunity to help an elderly couple for $300 a week. My mom is taking the lead, but I agreed to step in when she can\u2019t. We\u2019re planning to meet them this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for my systems, I dropped the ball today. I left my checklist and daily tracker at home, which threw me off. I\u2019m trying to make up for it now before heading to bed. Mentally, I feel drained. I\u2019ve been keeping to myself more, partly because I don\u2019t want my frustrations to affect my wife while she\u2019s nursing. This first year with the newborn has its challenges, but I believe we\u2019ll work through it and eventually find our rhythm again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
