Following up on one of the posts I made last month about firing my insurance agent, I decided to keep them for now, at least for my car insurance.
Apparently, Progressive had sent me an email about my renewal, but I completely missed it. I was frustrated because I feel like my insurance agent should have reached out to me. Every insurance agent I’ve had in the past has always contacted me when it was time to renew and stayed on top of things. This company hasn’t been like that.
For now, I decided to take the easier route and just renew the policy. The process was pretty simple. They made a mistake during the renewal, but it was fixed quickly without any hassle, so I really can’t complain too much.
I’m going to revisit this later in the year.
Renewing the policy buys me another six months, and that’s good enough for now. Sometime later this year, I want to set aside an entire day to shop around for all of my insurance policies.
That includes my car insurance and all of my property insurance. I have a feeling I’m paying more than I should across the board, and it’s probably worth taking the time to compare quotes and see what’s out there.
