The past week has been intense at work. I’ve taken on several new projects, mostly cleaning up after employees who made mistakes in the past. I’m spending time creating systems to dummy proof our operations, which means redoing a lot of their work. On top of that, we’re short staffed this week, so it’s been a grind.
May moved slower than I wanted it to, so now I’m pushing hard to make up for it and get back into my rhythm. I need to catapult my business forward, especially in the areas where it’s lacking. That’s driving a lot of what I’m doing right now.
I’ve been going to bed late and waking up early all week. Most of my focus has been on exploring n8n and its capabilities. I just discovered HTML documents and what they can do. You can run them offline and add buttons and tools that function almost like an app. My mind is blown right now, and I’ve got a ton of ideas brewing. But I’m putting that on the back burner because content is what’s really lacking in my business, and that’s where I need to focus this month.
I subscribed to some new AI tools this week to improve my workflow. I left work a little early today to start setting them up and personalizing them for my business. That took about two hours, and there’s still more work to do on the configuration side.
On the business side, things are still moving well. I’ve got new inventory coming in soon—high ticket items that I typically sell. Right now I’m waiting to see if I’ll win the bidding war when the time comes.
At work, I also submitted an idea to my skip manager for improving our operations. Hoping we can find a way to implement it. Small win, but it feels like progress in that direction.
