April 2026 Accomplishments

April 2026 was a solid month with a few meaningful milestones.

I hit top seller status on eBay. That comes with some benefits, including a 10 percent discount on final value fees. I originally thought that meant my fees would drop from around 13 percent down to 3 percent, which was completely wrong. It’s a discount on the fee itself, not a flat reduction like that. There are a few other perks that come with it, but I’m not really focused on those right now. Still, it’s a good milestone to hit and shows progress.

I also crossed over $10k in sales on eBay for the month. That’s a big one for me. It’s one thing to have momentum, but seeing it translate into actual numbers at that level makes it feel more real.

On the real estate side, I got started on the roof project, but couldn’t finish it. The weather didn’t cooperate, and both me and my contractor are tight on schedule, so it’s been hard to line everything up. Even so, getting started was important. At least now there’s visible progress instead of just planning.

I also put together a long-term retirement idea. The plan is to consistently buy SCI stock and hold it through 2054, then look to sell at the beginning of 2055. The thinking behind that is based on projected population trends and expected peak death rates around that time. There’s definitely risk in that assumption, especially if healthcare technology changes things in a major way, but for the next 10 to 15 years, it seems like a reasonable direction to explore.

Overall, the month moved things forward in multiple areas. Not everything is complete, but progress is showing up.
