Sunday Funday and Car Troubles

Today was a calm and enjoyable Sunday. My wife, baby, and I went to downtown Sanford for a small festival they were hosting. The streets were lined with vendors, food trucks, and live music playing in the background. It felt good to get outside, grab some food, and walk around for a bit. My best friend showed up with his girlfriend and their newborn, so it turned into a small family gathering. We spent about three hours talking, laughing, and sharing stories about parenthood. It felt good to just relax and enjoy the moment.

Afterward, we stopped by my wife’s parents’ house for a little while before heading to the mechanic. Her car needed some work done, so she took her mom’s car while I drove hers to drop it off. Since mine is mainly my work car, it’s not the cleanest or safest option for the baby. Her car has become the family car for that reason. When it breaks down, it becomes a small juggling act between borrowing cars from our parents to keep everything running smoothly.

I’ve been thinking seriously about buying a new car soon so that she can have a reliable one for the baby. I could then use her current car as my personal non-work vehicle. It’s one of those things I keep putting off but probably need to handle sooner than later. From a business or work standpoint, nothing significant happened today. It was just a simple, peaceful Sunday, and honestly, that was a nice change of pace.
