The past few days have felt like someone hit shuffle on the stress playlist. My stepdad is dealing with work problems that have the whole family on edge, and home life hasn’t been much smoother either. My wife and I have been out of sync lately. Some car issues started small but quickly turned into a bigger argument. I thought a nap might calm me down, but when I woke up still irritated, I did what any rational man would do: picked a fight and doubled down. Not my proudest moment.
Work, on the other hand, dropped a pleasant surprise. Something big is brewing in the company that will shake up the entire market, so I’m bracing for whatever is next. On the real estate side, my contractor still hasn’t confirmed the repair schedule, but I’ll follow up tomorrow.
The biggest update of all is that I’ll officially be moving into one of my rentals. After sitting down with my parents to hash out the financials, the plan is set. I’ll cover the mortgage and pay my stepdad $200 a month as rent so he still gets his share as if we had tenants. A little unusual, but it works.
Now comes the busy part: fixing up my condo, finding tenants, repairing another rental, and getting the new house move-in ready. My wife wants to paint the place and make it feel more like home, which means more time, more money, and more projects on the list. Somewhere in between all this chaos, I still need to study for the law exam and register before the year ends.
So yes, the next few months are shaping up to be a test of patience, balance, and caffeine tolerance.
