Yesterday was one of those days that made me feel like I had my life together. I went to work, came home, and somehow managed to record three YouTube videos for my personal channel. I even posted one right away, and the other two are lined up for later this week. For a guy balancing work, content creation, and fatherhood, that’s a small victory worth celebrating.
Today brought another pleasant surprise. I got another Etsy order for one of my higher-priced products. Now, when I say “high ticket,” I’m not talking about some thousand-dollar luxury item. We’re talking a little over a hundred bucks. Still, it’s always a nice feeling when someone’s willing to pay that much for something you created. It gives a small boost of confidence that maybe, just maybe, this whole online hustle thing is starting to click.
Of course, life loves balance. Just as one thing goes right, another tries to test your patience. My tenant from rental property number three called again. Water intrusion near the same door that was supposedly fixed last month. Either the door is haunted or that balcony has a personal grudge against me. The contractor’s coming out soon, so hopefully it’s a simple fix.
Then there’s the insurance reimbursement check that refuses to cooperate. Every time I try to deposit it, the bank bounces it back like it’s allergic to money. At this point, I’m half convinced it needs some kind of secret signature from a higher power. Tomorrow I’ll call around and see what’s really going on.
On the financial side, I’ve got a few bank transfers in progress. Once they clear, I’ll pay my parents back what I owe and then talk to them about moving into our joint rental property. It’s been sitting on my mind for a while, so it’ll feel good to finally sort that out.
Tonight, I wrapped things up by uploading two new Amazon Influencer videos and creating thumbnails for two YouTube uploads that are already scheduled. One drops tomorrow, and the other is set for Thursday. I’m trying to stay consistent and build momentum, even if progress feels slow sometimes.
Tomorrow looks like it’s going to be a busy one with a lot of running around. But hey, that’s life right now. Work, create, fix leaks, fight banks, and still find time to keep moving forward.
