A Day Thrown Off Track

Today did not go the way I wanted it to. I was supposed to head to the gym early in the morning to play basketball, but I overslept and missed all three of my alarms. By the time I woke up and checked the time, it was already 6:15 a.m. I had a bunch of missed messages from people asking where I was, and the feeling hit me the same way it does when I am late for work. It was terrible and frustrating, and it threw the rest of my day off balance.

At work, I spent most of the time preparing for a state audit, though I stepped away halfway through to take my son to his vaccination appointment. He handled it like a champ. The first shot did not make him cry at all, and the second one only got a quick 10 to 15 seconds of tears before he stopped once I picked him up. After that, I went back to finish the rest of the workday.

Business-wise, the day had a mix of highs and lows. I received a complaint from a previous eBay buyer asking for a partial refund. He claimed part of the order was not as described, even though he wanted to keep some of the products. I replied with a few questions, but he has not responded yet. Hopefully, it was just a mistake on his end. I would really like to avoid returns or disputes until I can reach my goal of selling 100 items. On a positive note, I got an unexpected Etsy payout of $104, which was a nice surprise.

For daily progress, I listed another laptop on eBay and packed it up. Finding boxes that fit this one and the one from yesterday was frustrating, but I managed to get it done. Unfortunately, I did not make time to read today, which means I missed both the gym and my reading habit. Overall, the day was a struggle, and I would grade it a D-.
