Update on My Life: Regaining Focus and Moving Forward

The past few months have been a whirlwind as I’ve been juggling multiple ventures, trying to make progress in several areas at once. One of my biggest projects has been my YouTube channel, which I initially set out to grow consistently. However, I quickly realized that taking on too many goals at the same time was pulling me in different directions. It felt like I was moving in zigzags rather than climbing upward toward my long-term vision.

Because of this, I’ve made the decision to simplify my life and eliminate unnecessary distractions. My new approach is to focus on just one goal at a time, or realistically three at most. Not every goal requires daily attention, which allows me to rotate between them without losing momentum. By narrowing my focus, I can finally make meaningful progress instead of feeling spread too thin.

This quarter has been all about getting organized and tackling problems I had been neglecting for too long. The results have been mixed with some victories and some setbacks, but overall, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. One of my biggest accomplishments was passing my national board exams for my mortuary license. I just completed the second and final portion this week, which is a huge milestone. Now, my attention turns to the Florida state exam, which I’ve heard is even tougher.

Financially, I was able to grow my savings to cover three months of expenses, giving me a solid emergency fund, and my Robinhood account is finally close to $10,000 in stock value. Real estate hasn’t been without its challenges, particularly with my third property out in the countryside, but I managed to resolve the major issues and keep my tenants in place. Next quarter, I’m aiming to complete the long-overdue maintenance on that property and get it fully back on track.

On the business side, I’ve continued selling on Etsy, though a bad review hurt my momentum and slowed down sales. To keep things moving, I started selling on eBay and have already seen some success there.

Overall, this season of my life has been about learning, realigning, and building a stronger foundation. I’m looking forward to finishing the year strong and entering 2026 with clarity, focus, and the drive to make it my best year yet.
