Today I spent the day working on the roof at my apopka house.
I started by going to pick up a chest for the downstairs room of this house. A couple of weeks ago the tenant called me and said that there was a bunch of mold on the chest and nightstand. I’m positive that this mold was due to the high humidity that was taking place in this house over the 2 weeks that the AC stopped working. Since the temperatures were low for a while, no one noticed that it had stopped working.
I was supposed to work on this last weekend but I fell sick with what I assume was the flu. Either that or COVID. Regardless, this was and still is, the sickest that I have felt in quite a while. I’m still experiencing heavy coughing, although the back pain that I was experiencing with this sickness has been severely relieved. The only thing left is the cough and an urge to sleep for really long hours. If the alarm clock is off I will sleep for about 11 hours. It has been like that since I fell sick.
once i feel start feeling like my body doesn’t need 11 hours of sleep anymore, thats when ill start hitting the gym again.
For now, I’ll say today was successful.
Problem with house
This roof only has 2 areas that seem to be a problem. I redid the whole roof today only because I told myself I would try and add sealant to it once a year as a precaution. I think from this point forward I should really just focus on the area that has the problem (mainly near the dome).
I’m going to get with Gio on Wednesday and see if he has any ideas on how to reinforce this roof for better water protection.
Now I need to work on painting the side of the house with this same sealant.
Today I added 3 coats to the roof. On Wednesday I think I’ll add a 4th coat, and start working on the side wall.
I spent like 60 bucks today on materials. What a bummer smh. I’m really trying to save money but this house really just eats all my money up.
