Daily Entry 6/5/2024

Today was a successful day.. I think. It was as productive as I could make it. I put in a little over 9 hours of work at my job. Although that is slightly less than what I would like, I had to take care of a few personal things.

I was able to sell the second dryer that I had at rental #3, which had been taking up space in the living room for about 5 months. I was trying to sell it for 75 dollars, but the guy talked me down to 50 since I never actually saw the dryer work for myself. I was merely taking the tenant’s (at that time also roommate) word for it. I’d say the deal was fair.

I managed to drive to UPS and return some amazon packages. These packages were all house things that didn’t fit our purpose at the house. While we set the house up, I’m going to be making several trips there.

Before coming home I went to Walmart to grab some small groceries. I just need a few extra things for me to eat at the house when I get hungry. Money is tight right now and I need to stop spending money out. The past few weeks we’ve been moving around a lot and haven’t had time to stop by the grocery store. My girlfriend went shopping this past weekend and has been cooking for us, and now I have a few extra things to keep me going while I’m out and about.

While I waited for dinner I was able to take 3 quizzes for my mortuary class, confirm the sale of a stereo I’m trying to sell on market place (scheduled for Saturday), and write out my account balances for the month of June. These accounts are not looking good. I have over 38K in debt right now. The good news is that once I pay that off, I’ll be 38k richer!

Tomorrow’s main objective is to find a bookshelf and a small chest to put in the closet. That will help me clean up a big chunk of my clothes in the closet, and the bookshelf will help the office room floor look much cleaner. I also need to pay the mortgages to the properties since it looks like I’ve received all the rents that I’ll be getting this week. As always, not everyone pays on time so I have to front the rest out of my pocket.

I’m still pushing to get all situated in my new living environment by the end of June!
