Well, my birthday was last week, which also means my vehicle registration expired.
No big deal, I thought. I’ll just renew it.
Except I couldn’t.
Apparently my car insurance was never renewed, which came as a complete surprise because nobody ever contacted me. No email. No phone call. Nothing. So now I have to wait until nine o’clock this morning to call my insurance agent and figure out what happened.
I’m honestly getting tired of dealing with this company.
This isn’t the first time they’ve caused me problems. Over the last few years they’ve managed to create issues with my homeowners insurance more than once, and now somehow they’ve dropped the ball on my auto insurance too.
The last time things got bad enough, one of my coworkers connected me with the manager because he knew her personally. She actually did a good job getting everything straightened out, so I decided to give the company another chance.
Looks like that was a mistake.
Assuming I can get everything sorted out today, the next step is renewing the registration on both of my cars. After that, I think it’s probably time to start looking for a new insurance agency. At some point you have to stop hoping a company will improve and just move on.
Other than dealing with insurance, today’s list is pretty straightforward.
I have two YouTube videos ready to go. I’ll publish one today and schedule the second one for Thursday. If everything goes according to plan, I’d like to record another video either today or tomorrow so I can have one ready for Saturday. My goal is to stay consistent instead of trying to upload a bunch of videos all at once.
If I get through all of that early enough, I’d like to spend the rest of the day listing more inventory on eBay and Etsy. I’m still trying to rebuild inventory after selling through a good portion of it, so getting new listings up is becoming more important every day.
Hopefully the insurance situation is just a phone call and not an all-day headache. I’d rather spend my time building the business than cleaning up someone else’s mistakes.
