I haven’t wrote in a few days, here’s what’s up

It’s been a busy stretch lately. I’ve been working every single day these past few weeks, and I think it’s been about a week since my last entry. Everything has been blending together lately with work, errands, and trying to keep up with all the moving pieces.

I still haven’t heard much from the tenants who moved out. The wife texted me a few days ago saying the house would be ready today, but I haven’t received any updates. If I don’t hear from them by Tuesday, I’ll stop by and see what’s left for them to do. I’ve been slowly bringing over some of my tools whenever I get the chance, just to get a head start before I officially start working on the place. It feels like I’ve been waiting forever to get my hands on that house and finally make progress.

About an hour ago, I got a service call from the tenant at the Apopka property. Apparently, their dryer broke. I’m already supposed to be over there Tuesday finishing up the door and drywall, so I’m trying to figure out how to take care of the dryer while I’m at it. I could probably make it easy on myself and have someone from Facebook Marketplace deliver one, but that would cost me about twice as much as if I did it myself. I’m still debating which route to take because both time and money are valuable right now.

Tomorrow will also be a big day at work because the new guy I hired starts his first day. I’m looking forward to getting him introduced to the team and settled in. Hopefully he catches on quickly and lightens the load a bit. It will be nice to have things running smoothly again.

I was able to work on two YouTube videos today, which felt good. I’m planning to finalize the first one tomorrow and get it posted. The second still needs some editing, but I’d like to have that one up later this week too. I had a few more video ideas pop into my head, and hopefully I remembered to write them down somewhere. Ideas come quickly and disappear just as fast if I don’t.

Halloween was two days ago. We went to a trunk or treat by the lake at the mall. I have to say, Halloween just isn’t what it used to be. Trunk or treat kind of killed it. It’s a shame, but even with that, we still had a good time. Things just feel different now.

Sales on eBay have been decent lately. I’ve been selling a product here and there, nothing major, but it adds up. I made over nine hundred dollars last month from the website, which isn’t bad at all. I did get a return request a couple of days ago though, which always sucks. Returns are part of the game, but they still sting every time. The good thing is I’ll be able to relist the item and sell it again, so it’s not a total loss.

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for now. It’s been a long few weeks, but I’m keeping things moving.
